Bethlehem: House of Bread

Like you did last week, as you came into the facility today, you walked through the “door to the Inn at Bethlehem.”  Of course this is just a prop we use to tell our community about Jesus, the Son of God, entering the world as a baby.  But it’s also symbolic of what Jesus’ coming really means… that He was born in a real place, among real people.  And so today, He lives in the hearts of real people.  And that’s our continued focus this Christmas season, called “The Place of Christmas.” That fact that Jesus was born and raised in real places, will hopefully deepen how Christmas has a real place in our lives.  Today we look at Bethlehem, seeing Jesus as “The Bread of Life.”
