Last week we finished the book of Revelation with the theme “Even so, Come,” one of the most hopeful prayers ever spoken. That is (or should be) the longing of every believer, being expectant of Jesus Christ coming again. But before Scripture ends with the church saying, “Come, Lord Jesus,” remember it records heaven saying something first.
Revelation 22:17 says: “The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who thirsts come.” Before Christ comes for His people…
He invites people to come to Him. And when we look through the New Testament, we discover that people come to Christ in different ways, through different circumstances, but they all responded to the same Savior.
Today, I want us to look at three people who heard Christ’s invitation… and came to the water…of baptism.
